TikTok Troubles Continue as Half of Americans Support a Ban of the App

TikTok is owned by Chinese tech company ByteDance.

Earlier this month, the Biden Administrationthreatened a banon TikTok unless ByteDance sold its stake to a US company.

The federal governmenthas already passed a TikTok banon government devices.

Last week, TikTok Chief Executive Officer Shou Chewtestified before Congress.

That effort, called Project Texas, involves a US company overseeing the data, Chew said.
