This isn’t the first time Facebook has been accused of violating a state’s privacy law.

The lawsuit alleged the scans were created without user consent and violatedIllinois' Biometric Information Privacy Act.

An estimated 20.5 million Texans are on Facebook, according to the lawsuit.
