Widely touted to be the most complete alternative to Twitter,Threads has become the talk of the town.
To prevent a user from deleting the Threads account, Meta has smartly integrated the Threads app with Instagram.
Thats really huge disappointment for folks who dont want to be tied with Metas new microblogging app.
But hey, thats the harsh reality we all have to deal with.
After deactivating your account, you will have to wait 90 days until your data is deleted.
1.Open theThreadsapp on your iPhone or Android unit.
2.At the bottom left corner, tap on theProfileicon.
3.On the profile page, tap theMenuicon at the top right corner.
4.Now, tap on theAccountoption.
6.Tap onDeactivate Threads Profileand then confirm it by tapping onDeactivate.
This will deactivate your Threads account.

This is how you’ve got the option to deactivate or reactivate your Threads account.
This is clearly your better bet if you want to get out of the platform temporarily.
Though it is nowhere near as perfect or feature-packed as Twitter, it has got a great prospect.
What gives it a clear edge is the backing of Instagram.
